The Global Pricing Lead role is based in our Headquarters at South Plainfield, NJ.

The Global Pricing Lead reports to the Head of Global Market Access. Responsible for the development and execution of PTC global pricing strategies. The Global Pricing Lead will cross-functionally and cross-regionally champion pricing in PTC by working with the commercial leadership, the finance team, the regional management and country Market Access leaders. Work in a peer-to-peer set-up with the other specialist areas in the Market Access department

The Global Pricing Lead is accountable for adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.

Job Description:


  • Lead, approve and monitor all aspects of price research to inform commercial decisions, including research design, sampling strategy, data collection method, data analysis and report preparation.

  • Team with Therapy Area lead and Market Access leads to define and implement pricing strategy, operational plans and funding models capturing the full value of PTC assets.

  • Ensure pricing strategies support patient access and global commercialization goals Build and run diagnostic tools to determine key pricing levers, estimate pricing opportunities and risks and manage these successfully, including international reference pricing

  • Collaborate with HEOR and Medical Affairs teams to develop Value Based Pricing strategies and tools

  • Build consensus with key stakeholders and drive change in thinking on price in the organization Own and manage PTC Pricing Policy, build process and develop governance process

  • Develop & manage Gross to Net Pricing strategies for inline and pipeline assets both in the US and Globally including launch sequence optimization and Managed Entry agreement

  • Propose and implement mechanisms to trigger price increases and defend against price erosion of commercialized products

  • Drive and monitor compliance to target prices and price submission: tools, price declarations and systems

  • Anticipate and implement operating mechanisms that allow price changes to occur

  • Evaluate price landscape in different areas of orphan disease, Monitor rules and policy changes

  • Develop and maintain pricing workshop series to ensure all commercial roles have an understanding of pricing and reimbursement practice and fundamentals and the impact of each on the business

  • Develop internal commercial capabilities with regards to price negotiation strategies and tactics

  • Monitor and collaborate with finance and commercial leads to optimize Gross to Net pricing in distributor markets

  • Performs all PTC business in accordance with all regulations and PTC policies and procedures.

  • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management. 

Quaifications:

Master’s degree in Economics / Business, Finance or Medical. At least 7 years’ experience in Pricing management in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, or in a consulting firm for a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company or in a healthcare-related organization


  • In-depth understanding and experience with the development and execution of pricing strategies that optimize market access, sales and product profitability worldwide

  • Product marketing experience, Finance or sales experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of tender and contracting systems in Europe and US price reporting

  • Understands how the medical device or pharmaceutical business works

  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Process oriented in the context of change management and new process setup

  • Experience with working in a matrix structure
