208528 Principal Scientist

As a Principal Scientist, you will provide analytical support for Process Development and Production to answer production problems and/or evaluate proposed production changes.  As necessary, develop and/or perform analytical techniques to characterize GSK Hamilton product(s), and/or answer production questions. 

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Has thorough knowledge of GxP requirements, SOP’s and policies.

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of how to analyze and interpret experimental data.

  • Ability to independently select, design and execute experiments based on interpretation of previous results.

  • Use of scientific expertise to solve ‘project-related” problems.

  • Independently authoring specific technical sections of internal and external reports, publications, or regulatory documents.

  • Making effective decisions to achieve desired outcomes of immediate work group.

  • Preparing detailed oral or written reports of results in the context of strategic fit, feasibility and rationale for “projects”.

  • Perform complex data management and analysis.

  • Has theoretical and thorough operational knowledge of laboratory/plant equipment and instrumentation.

  • Creating an environment that stimulates, develops, and promotes the scientific and career development of others.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years experience with GMP

  • Experience with analytical testing, development and qualification.

  • Experience with analytical characterization and analysis of complex biologically derived compounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced Degree

  • Experience in trouble shooting enterprise wide business software packages.

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues in a way that is easily understood

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
