Arcadis is looking to appoint a Program Manager in the Mergers and Acquisitions Deal Assurance Platform to help deliver large-scale projects associated with our fast growing M&A due diligence practice. The primary role of this position will be to:

  • Assist in the development of technical proposals
  • Direct and develop global, multi-site deals that include various transaction-based environmental due diligence services in support of financial and industrial mergers, divestitures and acquisitions
  • Collaborate and coordinate with offices in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa regions.
  • Critically review technical documents
  • Communication of technical findings to clients and other transaction stakeholders
  • Assist in the training/mentoring of junior technical staff
  • Occasionally complete site inspections
  • Help our Clients manage transaction risks while developing any identified opportunities for cost savings
  • Identify and help pursue new business development opportunities

    Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in engineering, science, business, or related discipline.
  • Five to ten years of experience working at a high-level with corporate and or financial/legal clients
  • Have a general understanding of rules and regulations of the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Spill Prevention, Control, and Counter Measure (SPCC), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and Emergency Plan and Community Right-to-Know (EPRCA).
  • Be able to recognize and evaluate environmental impact, compliance and health and safety risks associated with all types of real estate, commercial and industrial operations, as well as legacy environmental liabilities.
  • Possess a fundamental working knowledge of site investigation and characterization concepts of Phase II projects and have some experience estimating the costs of environmental compliance and remediation liabilities.
  • Provide clear, concise business-focused findings, recommendations and options regarding client deliverable.
  • Have a working knowledge of transaction related documents (i.e. purchase agreements, disclosure schedules), environmental insurance policies, and indemnification agreements.
  • Collaborate in a team atmosphere to plan and meet timelines and requirements along with budget goals
  • Be Client facing and able to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Develop, track and document project expectations and budget
  • Manage up to 25% travel
