Job Description


The Field Event Marketing Coordinator performs a broad range of duties that include the coordination of special marketing events and activations, channel partner events, and trade show support.

Detailed Description:

  • Creatively working with Business Development and various distribution channel partners to create onsite activation and seminar programs.

  • Leveraging FLIR’s demand generation, email and digital marketing teams to perform outreach and drive traffic to the events.

  • Responsible for full logistic coordination and hosting of special events to include venue sourcing, catering, AV, registration platforms, giveaways, and front-end event promotion.

  • May participate in other activities to include trade shows and other sales activations.

  • Submit regular reports detailing the success and ROI of special seminar events and field activity from the US program.

  • Participates in a variety of events, meetings, training sessions, trade shows and other activities.


  • BA/BS degree required (Event Marketing, Communications, or related Major)

  • 2+ years' experience in event planning or related field marketing work a plus

  • Knowledge of the consumer electronics industry, or imaging technology a plus

  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)

  • Must be enthusiastic self-starter with "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision

  • Strong attention to detail providing frequent and timely written feedback

  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications; Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

  • Must possess a valid driver license, clean motor vehicle record

  • U.S. Citizen or valid Permanent Resident (“Green Card”) status required

  • Regional travel required – out of town travel for special promotional events

  • Must be able to lift cases weighing 35 lbs and travel as requested
