Job Description:

SUMMARY

Quality Technician will perform various quality systems and testing activities for manufacturing operation, including raw material and process fluid testing, quality audits, plant trials, and quality lab maintenance and organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

5% Reviewreal-time quality and compile quality reports

10-20% Assist in plant trials, including trial finished product testing. This may include traveling for testing at various sites.

30-40% Perform daily finished product testing

20-30% Audit lab and manufacturing processes including daily audits, aged layouts, QSBP audits, assisting in UL audits, etc.

35-40% Provide quality support to the production line, including support during start-ups and necessary testing to insure quality standards are met.

5% Assist in claims investigations as required

10% Performchemical and physical property tests

10-20% Assist in all lab equipment verifications and calibrations throughout the plant

5-10% Conduct quality training for all production employees

5% Serve as an area team leader in the plant centerlining program

5% Assist in process improvement projects including measuring system analyses

5-10% Maintain EHS standards for the work area including updating and maintaining JSA's and participating in EHS plant meetings

10-30% Drive RMA's and red tags to completion and close out.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading
  • Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs and walk on open grating on elevated surfaces

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

    Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED. Technical associates degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working in quality assurance and process improvement
