We are looking for an individual who will help lead the execution of quality and process Improvement projects and activities in a manufacturing environment using standard PI tools such as Qualpro, MVT/DOE, Kepner Tregoe PSDM. Use Hierarchy of values (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) in prioritizing, using Plans and executes capital improvements resulting from these projects.

The successful candidate will have engineering education and experience and will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Lead TPM studies.
  • Manage maintenance projects implementing operator change over.
  • Perform SMED analysis on change overs, lace ups and jam recovery.
  • Study and determine better process flow through the plant:
    • Raw material flow
    • Supplies and tooling location optimization
    • HMI location optimization
  • Implement Kanban theory in the store room.
  • Modify shut down maintenance PMs to enable execution during line operation.
  • Perform AFCE documentation to Engineering for maintenance related projects.
  • Assist Engineering Department with IRR justifications.
  • Develop and train on operator based PM job plans
  • Drive problem solving methods for Engineering, Maintenance and Production.
  • Assist with simplification of preventative/predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with head count determination and process implementation related to new equipment or process changes.
  • Perform bottleneck analysis to provide management feedback. And ideas for redundancy.
  • Apply Visual Factory techniques to HMIs.
  • SOP development and error proofing for operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Perform value stream mapping for production and maintenance.
  • Be a resource for all departments for driving problem solving and continuous improvement.

  • BS degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 3-5 years experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing performance date to identify top opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with SQL, VBA and Access a plus.
  • Experience with training operators and technical personnel.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without current/future need for GAF visa sponsorship.
