Position Summary: To operate a computerized bar code scanner to process returns according to client guidelines.
Scan product codes of client products to input data into Company’s computerized system for processing in a productive and accurate manner
Sort scanned product in appropriate container locations
Inspect condition of product and prepare for disposition in accordance with client contract terms.
Performs various item inspections Inspects item for tears, stains, odors, etc.
Carefully and neatly folders the item (per the guidelines)
Packs the item in clear plastic bag, secures with tape, places label on outside of bag and places in designated box
Maintains daily records/tracking
Completes appropriate paperwork/notations to maintain accurate records
May perform other related duties as necessary
Observes all safety rules and regulations for self and others
Clean and organize work area daily
Perform other related duties as assigned
High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, write (in English)
Must be able to follow instructions
Must have attention to detail
Must be able to stand regularly
Working knowledge of computers
Ability to work under time pressure and meet production goals
Ability to meet set production and quality goals and follow standard operating and safety procedures
Ability to work with hazardous waste
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
