The Product Stewardship team is seeking a Product Stewardship Analyst to join our team in Wichita, KS. The Product Stewardship group is responsible for hazard communication (Safety Data Sheets and labeling), product registrations, compliance systems, product-related licenses, and chemical and pesticide registrations. Additionally, the Product Stewardship group reviews and advises on marketing claims and intellectual property, such as trademarks and patents, and assists sites with federal reporting obligations. This role will support the Senior Product Stewardship Specialist working in Koch Companies Services, LLC (subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc.) and will partner with various Koch businesses and capabilities to ensure hazard communication compliance. This entry level role will gain broad exposure to the products and processes across Koch and develop an understanding of many aspects of Product Stewardship.



 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


 


  • Collaborate with facilities or businesses to facilitate creation of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and hazard communication labels

  • Develop understanding of Globally harmonized system and hazard communication requirements both domestically and in foreign jurisdictions in which we do business

  • Management of SDS inventories

  • Manage larger SDS projects (e.g. as with facility acquisitions, new product lines)

  • Facilitate the distribution of SDS to customers and emergency response vendors

  • Preparation of registration paperwork for various Product Stewardship activities

  • Ensure the businesses we support understand hazard communication requirements in the applicable jurisdictions

  • Drive improvement to our program and processes, automating where possible

  • Maintain systems and tools such as MS SharePoint, Flow, and PowerApps

  • Cross-train on other regulatory requirements to support other Product Stewardship areas

  • Monitor and manage emerging hazard communication issues

  • Engage and knowledge share with other Koch Company product stewards (e.g. Koch Communities of Practice)


 

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • 1+ year experience working in a professional environment

  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency

  • Growth mindset, passion for learning

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, written, and verbal communication skills


  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of course work in science-related field 

     

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel)

  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time


 

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a laboratory or regulatory environment

  • Experience working with chemical regulations or chemical classifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Public Health, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science, or related field
