Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and experienced scientist to join a team within the Bioanalysis, Immunogenicity and Biomarkers (BIB) department based in Collegeville, PA.  This group is responsible for the method development and validation of protein biotherapeutic and biomarker assays using LC-MS/MS as well as study support for pre-clinical PK/PD/modelling studies and translation of these assays into the clinic.  Data from this group is a key component to understanding molecules in the GSK pipeline; and serves to make early and informed decisions for asset progression within the organization. The successful candidate will independently develop/validate LC-MS/MS methods and support biotherapeutic and biomarker study endpoints in either non-clinical or clinical studies.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with senior Exploratory Biomarker Staff, the person will be responsible for validating bespoke LC-MS/MS methods.

  • Independently providing sample analysis support for non-clinical and clinical studies by delivering high quality data packages working in a GLP/GCP compliant laboratory setting.

  • Handling of human biological samples and performing experimental work in accordance with HBSM, safety and data integrity guidelines

  • Works and communicates effectively with the group and speaks up when necessary.

  • Bachelors with one year of related experience.

  • An in-depth knowledge of quantitative protein assay development and an understanding of the drug development process.

  • Strong laboratory skills in assay validation and sample analysis including the ability to work in a GLP/GCP compliant environment.

  • Maintains a disciplined approach, ensuring a relentless focus on quality, compliance, scientific rigor and operational excellence.

  • Attention to detail and effective communication and documentation skills will be expected. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field
