The Field General Manager’s role is to provide high level support to the Regional General Manager and operation units. The incumbent has all the required GM experience, is flexible, and can easily step into a facility and identify areas that require improvement. The incumbent will travel to facilities to implement operational processes and strategies to improve performance.


  1. Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.

      2. Works with Engineering department to develop operational standards.

      3. Implements and trains operations on how to use the standards and processes developed and gain efficiencies in the                operation.

      4. Visits facilities and reevaluates how they are performing offering assistance in any needed areas.

      5. Works with RGM to create and manage strategic projects

      6. Performs at the local GM level during incumbent’s absences or leave of absence or as an interim GM during staffing                transition

      7. Implements and trains how to use FastTrac data for analyzing.  

      8. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in warehouse and office environment.  The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.  The noise level is usually moderate.

 Physical Demands:

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to communicate verbally.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, climb, push, pull, twist or crouch.  The physical activity associated with this position is considered high.  The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires ten years management, five in similar industry. Less if applicant possesses a Bachelor degree.
