DescriptionIn this role, you will work across all the Machine Automation Solutions (MAS) products to develop Commercial material focused on enabling the sales and external channel teams to effecting promote and sell the Machine Automation Solutions products.   This includes developing commercial material, focused workshops, and other sales training material and delivering this training to the commercial team in order to enable them to effectively sell the products and services.  Strong communication skills are essential along with an ability to simplify the presentation of a highly technical product set into terms resonating with key buyers and decision makers.   This person will work collaboratively with the product line managers to convert the key business problems customers’ face and technical positioning of the products into clear market messages in terms of value and differentiation.

  • Define buyer personas and develop commercial facing material focused on sales / channel enablement

  • Clearly articulate the customer benefits and value for the solutions provided

  • Develop and communicate the story telling scenarios and visuals for how the Machine Automation Solutions products in aggregate address key customer needs

  • Create standard presentations and scripts to sales and channel teams and work closely with them to ensure they are comfortable and capable in promoting MAS capabilities to customers

  • Align the sales tools and ideal sales process to the typical buying process

  • Develop product launch material and content for brochures, blogs, white papers and other outlets

  • Provide channel and sales training including competitive threats, related news, and a clearly differentiated value proposition

  • Hold sales training events throughout the year using both direct on site and indirect via web sessions as a way to constantly bring new material to the commercial teams

  • Hold sales training events for application engineers to develop expertise in the new product offerings and in developing simple yet effect solution architectures for customers


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering and 5-10 years’ experience in related product management, marketing, or other relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated presentation and training capabilities with ability to clearly, simply, and concisely communicate sophisticated technical concepts in the context of customer problems to solve.

  • Ability to understand market segments, geographies, channel/sales team capabilities and develop and articulate a plan for enabling these teams to successfully sell MAS products

  • Demonstrated bias towards execution with speed

  • Ability to travel as required to reach and motivate the targeted audience

  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization

  • Understanding of multiple industry vertical needs for industrial automation projects in order to support development of industry specific content

  • Experience across all forms of communication with understanding of where people go for information today.   Experience writing blogs and other forms of continuous communications

  • Thorough understanding of the Industrial Automation space, challenges faced, and clear understanding of customer buying processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 

  • Background with the Machine Automation Solution products such as the RX3i

  • Ability to travel to shows, customer events, and partner workshops

  • Demonstrated ability to think out of the box to produce a differentiated offering.
