The Project Management Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the project schedule and any other objectives as assigned by the Project Manager for large and complex projects.  The Project Management Specialist may also manage smaller KOB2 projects, or support intercompany projects as assigned.  The Project Management Specialist exhibits a combination of the knowledge, skills and abilities to administer or manage a project schedule as assigned.


  • Work as a contact for Emerson Impact Partner for project related activities.

  • Attend post award meetings and work with the Emerson Impact Partner, Global Industry Sales (GIS), and Order Administration staff to assure customer order requirements are accurately and completely input to the order processing and manufacturing systems.

  • Implement activities required for order and change order processing and interface with the support customer, Emerson Impact Partner, and various departments within Flow Controls to resolve processing problems to support the customer requested ship date.

  • Effectively direct project team members which can include, but are not limited to Order Administration, Engineering, Drafting and Plant Project Coordinators.

  • Coordinate submission of project deliverables including, but not limited to: Approval tracking, Inspection and Test Plan, drawings, manufacturing procedures, Performance Bonds, Insurance Certificates, etc.

  • Provide diligent and systematic follow-up and expediting to departments for scope of work.

  • Monitor project progress and submit periodic milestone status reports.

  • Arrange and coordinate customer third party inspections if required.

  • Ensure that project invoicing is completed per contractual agreements and assist the Emerson Impact Partner and Customer Financial Services in resolving invoicing discrepancies.

  • Provide support for any other previously unidentified requirements to the Project Manager or Project Administration group as assigned.

  • Authority to plan, schedule, manage and run an assigned KOB2 project as outlined by business unit practice.


Education / Experience Required:

BA or BS DegreeExperience Requirements:  Project Management experience or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability of Project Management concepts including scheduling, planning, order management, etc.
