Verisign’s Customer Operations team works 24/7/365 to deliver trusted solutions to our domestic and international customers and partners.  Collectively, the support team boasts 450+ combined years of Verisign service, and fields 10,000+ customer touch-points each month. 

We have an exciting Data Reporting Analyst II – Customer Operations opportunity in our Reston, VA corporate headquarters.  Aimed at improving the decision-making process, this position will conduct research, provide analytical support, and make recommendations to the Customer Operations Senior Management team.

This person will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities.  The Data Reporting Analyst II will: develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization; perform statistical analyses to assess operational efficiencies, functional requirements and reporting needs; and interpret trends and patterns in data-sets to identify influencers.

Key Responsibilities:

Directly produces datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. 

Compiles and reviews analytics on internal operating processes, i.e. how fast do we respond to calls, customer complaints, customer communications, other measurements, etc., both standalone and compared to industry benchmarks.

Constructs forecasts, makes recommendations and formulates strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.

Publishes recurring reporting: updates key performance indicators (KPIs), drafts monthly operating reports, and researches/explains variances in the data over time.

Bachelors Degree in quantitative discipline (Economics, Math, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience required.  Graduate degree in related concentration preferred.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in data analysis, predictive analytics, financial modeling and/or operational reporting required (any combination).  Ability to query, analyze and work with data languages.

Familiarity with relational data and quantitative analysis.

Strong attention to detail, writing, problem solving, presentation and analytical skills.

Deep curiosity to learn about new trends and topics.

Intermediate programming languages: R, SPSS, SAS, Python or related language preferred
