Accelerate your nursing career by joining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) program. Our 22 week Nurse Graduate Program is designed to help you prepare to succeed in an acute care hospital setting. The program is comprised of a combination of didactic training, high definition simulation and clinical preceptorship.
As an RN in our StaRN program, you receive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill and knowledge you'll need to become the highest caliber nurse. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by the best, most highly educated and trained nurses within our facilities.
During the StaRN program, you will work with instructors to complete class assignments, skills training and exercises. Then, you will work with your preceptor during the preceptorship that follows. At successful program completion, you will be a valued team member with specialty training, established relationships and familiarity with our values and culture. OUR NEXT STARN PROGRAM WILL BEGIN JUNE 17, 2019. THIS POSITION WILL WORK IN OUR OPERATING ROOM.
· Cohort begins June 17th, and lasts for 22 weeks
· Phase 1 & 2:11 weeks classroom, self-study, OR skills days, & facility clinical days with looping assignments
· Phase 3: 11 weeks clinical preceptorship
· Our cohort is modeled from the AORN Perioperative 101 Core Curriculum
· You will receive ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS certifications
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A TWO YEAR, FULL TIME COMMITMENT. THE FIRST YEAR IS A COMMITMENT TO THE OR AT OGDEN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER. THE SECOND YEAR IS ELIGIBLE TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER UNIT AT OGDEN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, OR ANY OF OUR OTHER 185 HCA HOSPITALS AROUND THE COUNTRY.
Required Job Qualifications include:
* Current Licensure as an RN in Utah within three weeks of starting the program
* Applicants may apply for the program prior to passing the NCLEX exam
