The Application Engineer will join the Sales team to support product design, selection and deployment. The Application Engineer will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing and Sales to ensure customer success. This is a great opportunity to learn about both the technical and commercial sides of our business.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate new sales opportunities for continuous organic growth of the business unit.
  • Develop and maintain a target customer activity plan that includes opportunities, quotes, orders and projects for key customers.
  • Work with inside and/or outside sales representatives to ensure account activities are on schedule.
  • Coordinate with and visit target customers to provide training and product presentations.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales and manufacturing to ensure accurate scheduled delivery dates and verification of on hand inventory.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and review application requests and product specification.
  • Develop conceptual designs to facilitate customer integration and application opportunities. Works with designers and customers to facilitate sale of the product.
  • Manage and implement engineering change requests.
  • Interpret CAD prints, along with strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Provide 3D modeling and 2D cad drawings as required.
  • Aid engineering team in application & product design for manufacturability.
  • Support the development and implementation of the business strategy and ensure it is closely linked with the strategic priorities of the business.

Job Requirements
  • BS degree in accredited engineering, physical sciences program, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Must excel at working in a team environment.
  • Effective and collaborative problem solving skills including defining the problem, collecting data, establishing a solution, creating a standard, and sustaining.
  • Ability to write reports and present information to groups of managers, employees, and customers.
  • Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding group facilitation, training, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: positive, persuasive, motivating.
  • Demonstrated talent for building effective relationships with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling, preferably Solidworks and Auto-Cad.
