Cherokee Casino properties feature nine casinos and numerous retail establishments in northeast Oklahoma. Cherokee Casino locations are Roland, West Siloam Springs, Fort Gibson, Tahlequah, Claremore, Grove, Sallisaw, South Coffeyville and Ramona.

SUMMARY

The Lead Main Cage Cashier is responsible for preparing and issuing banks for employees, performing drops, balancing cash, and verifying employee's drops. Provides guidance and supervision to main cage cashiers. Follow all gaming regulations under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):


  • Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance main cage.
  • Issue banks to employees.
  • Verify money employees drop during shifts and close out.
  • Follow all gaming regulations.
  • Maintain cage security.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a minimum of a High school diploma and 2 years of cash handling experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest service.
  • Knowledge of mathematics.
  • Previous cashier experience.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License. Must have a valid driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The duties of this position are primarily performed in a climate controlled office environment with frequent exposure to smoke or loud noise. The position requires minimal physical exertion during the performance of majority of the duties. Most work is performed while standing, sitting or walking with occasional need to lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach and handle. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
