DESCRIPTION SHIFT: Nights (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the Direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the OB Scrub Tech is responsible for providing surgical scrub assistance for all cases performed in the Women's Services OR, dependent on individual experiences. The OB Tech will support and provide services to the Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, and Newborn Nursery patients as directed by the charge nurse. The OB Tech will be responsible for the establishment / evaluation of the PAR level for supplies in the OR as well as the routine stocking, cleaning & maintenance of instruments for the unit. The OB Tech is responsible for terminally cleaning the OR's on a daily basis following hospital policy.

QUALIFICATIONS POSITION QUALIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION/SKILLS
Graduation from an accredited program for Surgical Technology or meets the requirements of the HB 643 Act.
B. EXPERIENCE
One year prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred; CORT preferred for all Surgical Technologists with work experience from a healthcare facility or the U.S. military.
C. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
BLS required; CORT preferred. New Surgical Technologist graduates must obtain CORT within 6 months of graduation
