Job Description: Job Summary The Workday Developer will build custom configurations and integrations using standards-based technologies and toolsets to expand Flagstar's Human Resources Workday business offerings. This person will develop, test, and maintain interfaces, reports and customizations for the Workday HRMS application. They will work closely with the Human Resources department to gather business requirements and translate into automated administrative processes. This position will perform daily support and maintenance tasks for Human Resources applications.
Anticipating and understanding the goals and needs of HR business units in order to develop technology solutions that make administration processes more efficient. Applying technical expertise and knowledge of Workday development tools and the Workday HRMS data model to effectively develop solutions for Workday HRMS.
Troubleshooting and resolving production application issues as needed, mainly Workday and Saba Learning Management. Expected to become a technical support person on other primary applications the team supports.
Collaborating with other Flagstar departments on developing HR related business solutions. Working directly with users to define requirements, develop test plans, and conduct unit testing. Suggesting ideas and solutions to make systems and processes more effective.
Design and develop advanced Workday reports to support the HR Data Analytics reporting initiatives.
Participating in upgrades to newer versions of Workday, including review, modification, and testing of all custom components. Staying in tune with recent changes in Workday. Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Workday technical integrations and custom reporting.
Adhere to all regulatory and compliance issues linked to the job and the team and understand how these issues help the bank achieve the vision of remaining an independent bank
Bachelor's Degree Required (Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field)
3+ years of HRIS experience
Strong knowledge of integrations and web services standards and technologies (e.g., SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT)
Demonstrated integration experience in Human Resources related domains (Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, etc.)
Experience with HCM, Payroll, and Benefits applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent ability to communicate technical solutions to business users through documentation and presentations
Proven ability to successfully juggle multiple projects and priorities and able to shift direction quickly when priorities change
3+ years of Workday programming/analysis experience especially related to reporting and integration development, preferred
Good understanding of Workday Business Process framework and Workday Business Object Model
Expertise in Workday integrations including building and maintenance of EIB's and Cloud Connectors
Strong experience in building and maintaining calculated fields in Workday
Strong Workday report writing skills in building reports of all types, Advanced, Matrix, BIRT, Dashboard, etc.
