Location: Red Wing, Minnesota
The Surgical Technician is a technically trained individual who is prepared to assist with operating room nursing care of the patient, assist surgeons and their assistants, circulating RN and/or Nurse Manager by performing routine and delegated duties for emergency and non-emergency surgical procedures.
This position is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, storage and dispensing of items used for patient care in all departments of the Medical Center.
Successful completion of a Surgical Technician Program (Technical School or Military training) or two years experience as a Surgical Technician.
Preferred: Two plus years experience in surgical/scrub role or Sterile Processing
License or certification
Certification as a Surgical Technician required.
Maintains BLS (Basic Life Support) for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs:
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $23.26 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
Monday through Friday day shift with varied shift start times.
Weekday call rotation with a required 30 minute response time.
Weekend and holiday call rotation with a required 30 minute response time.
