The Master Technician position has a starting wage of $27.33/hr. The position is contingent on completing a 90-day probationary period prior to entering the union.
Applicants must be willing and able to work a 12-hour day (7am – 7pm) or night shift (7pm - 7am) or 8-hour shifts (7am – 3 pm, or 3pm – 11pm, or 11pm – 7am).
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Leading and developing a group of Technicians on cup-forming assets, developing skills to become a Subject Matter Expert for your area of responsibility
Executing work orders and established asset strategies
Proactively identifying, controlling, and reducing health and safety risks in all aspects of the operation
Understanding and mitigating critical hazards in your area (i.e. APM and LOTO processes)
Owning production schedule execution
Learning, exhibiting, and consistently promoting MBM® principles and mental models
Leading opportunities to optimize assets by documenting unplanned downtime events/failures; develop procedures to mitigate chronic or major machine reliability
Improving skills and capabilities individually and within your team; supporting and contributing to learning and training development program and execution, including using and developing Standard Operating Procedures
What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or GED
Willing and able to work eight (8) or twelve (12) hour shifts, to include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
Willing and able to pull and lift, up to 35 lbs.
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
2 years with demonstrated maintenance experience in a manufacturing or military environment OR two-year degree in relevant field
