The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting and monitoring financial data, preparing financial reports and recommending actions for internal and external stakeholders for Red River's Consulting Services (RRCS) business units. The Financial Analyst will also work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis on the annual corporate budget and monthly forecast preparation.
Primary Position Tasks:
Help prepare monthly Financial Statements for RRCS business units and present analysis to the Sr. Financial Analyst and Director of FP&A.
Perform ROI analysis for individual programs and ongoing service engagements
Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of RRCS business unit's performance against historical, budgeted and forecasted results
Support the Sr. Financial Analyst in the preparation of the annual RRCS business unit's budgets as well as program level budgets
Report weekly status updates to the Director of FP&A for all open programs and major service engagements
Work with the Sr. Financial Analyst in creating process documentation for RRCS reporting
Provide support to the Sr. Financial Analyst in building and maintaining various weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Develop bi-weekly meeting cadence with all Program Managers and Project Managers to review ongoing projects
Work closely with Accounting to develop and maintain a revenue recognition process that complies with ASC 606 regulations.
Prepare internal and external reporting for Strategic Programs as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of applicable work experience
Appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
Experience with government contracting and the FAR
Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required
Strong presence with ability to interact with Senior Leadership

Desk Position: This position is an office position that requires sitting at a desk for multiple hours throughout the work day.
Special Requirements: This requires 20% travel.
