Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for security administration of various computer systems and networks. This position is also responsible for parameter updates, data extracts and audit trails.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.

  • Assures quality customer service to all customers.

  • Processes security requests (e.g., user additions, changes, and deletions) for various software applications. Performs peer review of completed requests and maintains security profiles to ensure all systems are protected against unauthorized use.

  • Is responsible for receiving and/or directing security related requests, analyzing and resolving security related problems and/or directing the inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

  • Evaluates and resolves user issues and problems related to access and usage of systems. Escalates to a higher level when necessary.

  • Performs audit trail requests, researching and analyzing data to find specific information or events in the blood banking process. Supplies data to support reportable events, which are directed to the FDA.

  • Ensures unusual access occurrences are properly documented investigated, reported and resolved.

  • Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly processes. Coordinates downtime and process time with appropriate locations.

  • Writes data center operational procedures.

  • Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education


  • High School graduate or GED required.

  • Some college or computer related technical courses preferred.

  • Working knowledge of security procedures required.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems preferred.

  • Working knowledge of various PC software packages preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and Access Management preferred.

Licenses/ Certifications

None.

Experience

    Three years related experience required.
