    The Director, Paid Media is responsible for supervising paid search and paid media accounts within the digital team. Key functions include supporting the definition of media strategy, overseeing and being hands-on with execution of successful campaigns, primarily with a focus on paid search, but also within display, retargeting and paid social. The Director, Paid Media will work closely with Digital team leads and our vendor partners in the research, development, implementation, and management of paid marketing campaigns that surpass our clients’ business goals and expectations.




      Responsibilities:



      • Responsible for paid search and social performance against goals


      • Develop strategy, launch and optimize campaigns and serve as day-to-day contact for and foster relationships with internal team members and clients


      • Actively test and analyze keywords, advertising copy, landing pages and positioning to increase ROI and drive sales volume


      • Manage large, complex multi-million dollar budgets and provide regular forecasting updates


      • Compile industry research, competitive landscape information, and trade intelligence for SEM strategy development and optimization


      • Stay abreast of new SEM and paid social developments and opportunities in the SEM domain and incorporate into ongoing campaign management.


      • Continually leverage new tools & industry best practices to ensure our client remains a leader in search engine marketing.


      • Management of several employees – training, hiring, and positively inspiring growth


      • Guide and train on paid search and paid social best practices and process


      • Develop, review and/or approve all recommendations and plans


      • Exhibit a solid understanding of key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace



      Basic Qualifications:
      The Director, Paid Media must have at least four years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
       
      Preferred Qualifications:
      The account supervisor should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, a proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and small teams simultaneously, function as a daily client contact, as well as develop and execute plans to meet client goals. S/he should have demonstrated ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others. S/he should have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
