We are seeking a Sr. Consultant, West Coast Region,(location is flexible) to support client growth in the region. The position involves assisting multiemployer sponsors and trustees of pension funds, health funds, and annuity funds. Assist clients in making prudent decisions regarding the investment of the funds under its care.
To successfully fulfill this role the Senior Consultant must be able to:
Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients on both traditional and cutting edge investment topics ranging from asset allocation and the development of investment policy to alternative investment strategies and their successful implementation.
Manage all aspects of these consulting relationships, both external and internal, including defining objectives, asset allocation, investment policy, manager research and performance evaluation.
Build strong relationships with clients, prospects and internal colleagues.
Organize and lead efforts to aggressively market the firm’s services to expand our business.
Present expert level knowledge of core, strategic and alternative investment strategies.
Maintain marketplace visibility through both written and verbal presentations within the industry.
Master’s degree in finance, business, economics or related discipline or BA/BS degree in same. A CFA charter or enrollment in the CFA program is a plus.
Ten or more years of investment experience with at least five years working with plan sponsors
Ability to travel to client sites and meetings as necessary
Ability to market firms services to existing and new clients
Proven management skills in leading large complex projects
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and listening skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage, motivate and mentor a team of junior-level staff
Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing work environment and challenging travel schedule
