Nemours is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst (FULL-TIME) to join our Business Office team in Jacksonville, Florida.

At Nemours, each Associate plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of world-class pediatric care to the children we serve. The team based at our home office in Jacksonville, Fla. provides essential administrative, financial and technical support to Nemours operations across all locations.

Job Duties

This position will support all systems as they relate to the Accounting Department.  Systems include Lawson, Lawson Add-ins, MS Excel, MS Access, QlikView, QlikSense, Essbase, AquaData, Crystal Reports and any other new systems that impact Accounting.


  • Perform all Lawson testing for patches (individual, MSP’s, and ESP’s).  Read and understand the documentation sent by Lawson as to the changes to the system made by the patches. 

  • Perform all EPIC testing related to the general ledger interface.

  • Perform duties associated with an upgrade (working with Consultants to execute the decisions made by the Lawson Steering Committee or the decisions made by the Director of Accounting).  This will require possible re-build to the current system, testing, training, process changes, etc.

  • Train end users on changes to their current processes as a result of a Lawson patch, upgrade, or process change.

  • Understand EPIC as it relates to billing, adjustments, collections, bad debt, accounts receivable and general ledger coding.

  • Understand Lawson subsystems (Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Materials Management, and Payroll systems) and EPIC well enough to make process improvement recommendations in order to streamline processes for the Accounting/Finance team.

  • Perform duties associated with implementing additional Lawson functionality (working with Consultants to execute the decisions made by the Lawson Steering Committee or the decisions made by the Director of Accounting).  This will require new build to the current system, testing, training, process changes, etc.

  • Assist with other non-Lawson/EPIC continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Write and maintain all Lawson add-ins queries/uploads for the Accounting/Finance team, which will require an understanding of the underlying database structure.

  • Represent the Accounting/Finance team at the bi-weekly Lawson Functional Change Control meeting.

  • Maintain all aspects of Financial Reporting dashboard in Qlikview/QlikSense.

  • Serve as backup to Sr. Finance Analyst.   Use AquaData and Crystal Reports to pull and analyze data from EPIC for month end close and interim/final audits.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience required.

  • Must have excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.  Must possess a clear, concise communication style for efficient and effective communication.

  • Requires advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel (formulas, v-lookup and the ability to build/manipulate complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook and Lawson or other enterprise accounting system experience.          

  • Demonstrates analytical skills with financial statements and other related accounting concepts.  Includes recognizing the importance of process and knowing when to ask questions, make suggestions and make decisions.

  • Able to work independently or with a team, schedule time efficiently and set priorities.  Works effectively in a fast-paced environment.
