Primo Water is a fast growing consumer products company.  We are seeking an ISB Technician who will primarily service and maintain In-Store Bagging Systems (ISB) in assigned route. Manages ice production by using proper merchandising, back stocking and ice moving logistics to satellite merchandisers in accordance with the Company’s Best Practices.   Ideal candidates for this position are self-motivated who have good customer service and communication skills.  Builds strong working relationships with store personnel and management to ensure the success of the ISB program.  Performs the majority of the job duties independently and with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:


  • Primarily performs routine service, preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and diagnostics of ISB ice vending equipment at all locations in assigned route to include ice maker cleaning, filter replacement, ice bag weights, sanitize distribution chute, ice maker air filters, merchandiser condenser, and the inside of the ISB and merchandiser based on ISB best practices at schedule intervals.

  • Cleans exterior of ISB machines, kick plates and verify door seals are tight against the merchandiser; ensures that the merchandiser is clean of water during every visit.

  • Invoices and/or credits bags on a bi-weekly basis with the use of a handheld device and meter ticket book; fully and accurately completes the log located in each machine during every visit and enters information in the handheld device.

  • Tests production quality by visually inspecting ice for clarity, cube size, and bag weights.

  • Maintains in-store bag inventory levels as designated by management; maximizes the production of bagged ice at each location by back stocking ice to the backroom freezer; moves ice to satellite locations as necessary; maintains a stacked, well-merchandised merchandiser and rotates the ice during every visit.

  • Immediately reports any major machine issues to management and communicates regularly with store or location management at each assigned stop to ensure complete satisfaction with the ISB Ice Program.

  • Ensures that tools and equipment are in good working order; maintains spare parts inventory on truck and communicates need for additional supplies and assists with the management of parts and supply inventory levels.

  • Drives a company-provided vehicle safely and in accordance with all applicable laws of the road; observes all security and safety measures established by the company in the operation of its vehicles and reports any incidents/accidents or malfunction/damage of vehicles immediately to management.

  • Due to the nature of some remote routes, where there’s limited staff resources due to the geographical location, the Service Technician may be required to be in “Call-In” mode or available to cover service calls on weekends and on Company-observed holidays.  In addition, this position may occasionally be required to be “On-Call” or standby duty. In either case, the Company’s “On-Call” and/or “Call-In” pay guidelines will apply.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

  • Valid Driver License with a clean driving record and a satisfactory background check will be required

  • Basic understanding of refrigeration/plumbing (water flow, pipes, valves, etc.) and some mechanical devices (i.e., motors, switches, etc.)

  • Able to frequently lift and/or move 30 lbs. and periodically move up to 100 lbs. with assisting devices

  • Work with heights of 10 ft. or more via ladder

  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions, including the use of a procedure/training manual

  • Self-sufficient, positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance

  • Ability to prioritize and have an acute sense of urgency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment with cross collaboration
