p strong u POSITION SUMMARY: /u /strong /p

p The Manufacturing Engineer II will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This will include recommendation and implementation of improvements to production designs, tools/fixtures, processes, methods and controls. The incumbent will coordinate and/or assist manufacturing launch for new or revised products. /p

p strong u DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: /u /strong /p

li Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods for company products in accordance with product specifications and quality standards /li
li Recommend and implement improvements to production designs, processes, methods and controls /li
li Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, generation of assembly documentation, training of team members and evaluating results /li
li Resolve design and process issues as they occur in production or indicated due to field issues /li
li Design, develop and test and/or source product changes, tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods /li
li Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards /li
li Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes /li
li Apply analytical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiencies /li
li Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of systems, processes, and related equipment /li
li Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams
li Role may be responsible for additional tasks or corrective actions from these as part of project or program initiatives. /li
li Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements /li

p strong u EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: /u /strong /p

li Bachelors degree in Engineering (ME/EE/Manufacturing) or related field /li
li Minimum 5 years related experience in manufacturing of instrumentation or related field /li
li Experience working with ISO, GMP and/or biotechnology industry organization is strongly preferred /li
