Job Description:
Information Technology Systems Manager - Kenton, OH

Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative, an electric distribution utility serving portions of ten central Ohio counties, is actively seeking an Information Technology (IT) Systems Manager to join our talented team. You will be responsible for all aspects of planning and managing corporate IT infrastructure and will work closely with the distribution system's staff to manage the IT infrastructure integrated within the electric distribution system.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining overall LAN/WAN network infrastructure and integrity.
  • Troubleshoots and solves user PC, phones and software issues.
  • Train users on new technologies, equipment, and software.
  • Monitor backup systems and regularly test, as well as all disaster recovery needs.
  • Create and maintain hardware, network and software inventory documentation.
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all servers and network appliances.
  • Maintains adequate virus and malware protection and monitors the status there of.
  • Regularly monitors and tunes network, firewalls and email spam.
  • Promotes strong cyber security procedures including monitoring and training.
  • Develops yearly IT budget including a hardware/software replacement strategy.
  • Evaluates and recommends new technologies, policies and procedures.
  • Acts as corporate help desk to users.
  • Remain proficient on Microsoft, Apple, and database programs within the network.
  • Liaison with all software, hardware, networking and security consultants.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Management Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with multi-location network systems.
  • Excellent communications skills as well as complex problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft and Apple products, switches, routers, WiFi, VOIP, and network client/server technologies.
  • Willingness to be available 24/7 at either the Kenton or Marion locations.

The Information Technology Systems Manager is a full-time position that reports to the President & CEO. The position includes excellent benefits including health, retirement, and paid time off. The typical work schedule is M-F, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
