You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and grow your career by assisting our clients with various accounting responsibilities, including:
The Outsourced Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with monthly close, including preparing all client general ledger account reconciliations for multiple reporting entities, and completing all necessary journal entries. The Outsourced Staff Accountant will also communicate extensively with client executives via email and telephone to obtain the requisite information needed for monthly close. The Outsourced Staff Accountant also prepares bi-weekly and semi-monthly client payrolls, reviewing work performed by the client, and interfacing with client payroll and human resource personnel. Must be able to multitask and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare general ledger reconciliations for multiple client reporting entities, including bank reconciliations, investment reconciliations, prepaid reconciliations, deferred income reconciliations, accrued expense reconciliations, net asset roll forwards, and intercompany elimination entries
Prepare all journal entries necessary to reconcile accounts as indicated above
Communicate with client management and staff to ensure that information is obtained to perform monthly close processes
Prepare bi-weekly and semi-monthly client payrolls, including reviewing the work performed by the client, and interfacing with client payroll and human resources personnel.
Provide payroll summary reports to client executives, and address all questions as they arise.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within various client organizations, including client accounting software systems.
Perform other client responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
At least 2 years accounting or bookkeeping experience
Specific non-profit industry experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, Adobe PDF & Outlook
