NVIDIA's silicon validation engineers are responsible for developing methodologies, analyzing, debug, and crafting NVIDIA's GPUs and SoCs into state of the art desktop, notebook, professional, and mobile solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop validation test methods for new designs from Mixed-Signal IC Design Group

  • Interact with multi-functional groups to support chip validation and ramp to production

  • Measure and collect lab data on new analog and mixed-signal designs

  • Provide feedback to designers on silicon performance, design quality, and margin

  • Verify electrical compliance to industry standards

  • Support chip bring-up of analog and mixed-signal macros

  • Simulate analog and mixed-signal designs which require debug

  • Measure and analyze signal integrity of high-speed serial links, PLLs, and power delivery networks

  • Able to train new engineers in validation practices

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Knowledge of serial communication standards, phase locked loops, DAC, ADC, and bandgaps

  • Deep understanding of fundamental analog circuit designs

  • 8+ years of experience measuring, analyzing, and debugging complex mixed-signal designs

  • Signal Integrity experience a plus

  • Experience with Python, Matlab, Analog Artist, Spice, Perl

  • Able to code scripts for validation, debug, data analysis, and automation

  • Extremely responsive to time sensitive show-stopping issues

  • Consistent, persistent, and efficient

  • Create and optimize new validation's processes based on new design

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Detailed, working knowledge of lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, Function Generators etc.)
