Job Summary:

Supermicro is currently seeking for a Buyer/Product Manager in SSD procurement. The primary responsibilities will be to negotiate, forecast, and execute procurement of Intel SSD. The Buyer/Product Manager must be able to work under high demand and in a fast paced environment. This position involves interactions with program managers in meeting customer deliver schedule. In addition, must have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain vendor relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Job included but not limited to:


  • Responsible for increasing business with Intel SSD

  • Must be able to negotiate prices, forecast, execute procurement and inventory management

  • Collaborate with lab to get new SSD qualifications and perform new product release

  • Review and understand supplier road map and new technology for future product development

  • Interface with systems PM/Sales to promote Intel SSD products

  • Develop and enhance the relationship with suppliers

  • Support and provide training to SMC PMs and Sales

  • Must be able to work under high demand and fast paced environment

Qualifications:


  • At least 1 year of SSD or related product purchase experience is preferred

  • General knowledge of SSD products

  • Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and PowerPoint

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Training and Promotion experience is a plus

  • Team player and the ability to interact with multiple divisions across the board

• Lift, carry, push and pull in excess of 25 pounds
