Insight & Data Analytics (Business Project Advisor) - Bloomfield

This role reports into Cigna's Global Data & Analytics supporting the Endeavor Cigna-Express Scripts Integration – project manage Insight / Data Analytic work streams. Incumbent will be responsible for administering PMO processes, including project planning, status reporting, scope control, issue/risks, budget, and resources. The Endeavor project is largescale, involving 12+ work streams.
Utilizes established project and program methodology to develop project plans for assigned projects. Where the methodology is not sufficient, create and augment with new processes and establish best practices
Develops detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements
Develops and maintains work plans that consider the priorities, key milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and identification of tasks that may be performed concurrently to achieve objectives.
Ensure integrity of original business case is maintained & any adjustments are communicated & understood by all key stakeholders
Ensure projects/intake requests are completed within committed time and budget
Represent the business during the portfolio funding process, communicating funding decisions and gaining buy in from business partners and IT on business funding prior to allocations taking place.
Champion organization's project management methodology, tools, and techniques
Consult on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.
Identify risks and vulnerabilities, and creates contingency plans
Resolve issues and determine contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalate issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
Partners with matrix organizations to ensure that appropriate action is taken to identify and implement initiatives.
Evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
Ensures the timely and quality development and distribution of all deliverables for the project.
Develops and implements communication and reporting mechanisms to manage issues, risks and timely delivery of initiative results.
Ensures appropriate use of tools to track and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects
Bachelor’s Degree and over 5 years of related project management strongly preferred.
Project Management certified (i.e. PMI, list others types) preferred.
Six Sigma training also valued
Experience in change management evaluation, planning and execution.
Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects
Experience evaluating, developing and implementing business process measurement systems and dashboards
Has proven results of building and creating new structures through the use of creativity and innovation management
Experience, ability and willingness to share knowledge and coach individuals w/ varying levels of experience.
Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
Ability to deal with ambiguity, embracing change and helping others see it as an opportunity and stay focused on goals while adapting to change
Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions to co-workers at all levels across all organizations.
Act with a sense of urgency to research questions or issues brought by the team. Identify the right parties or resources to resolve these issues (organizational agility). Follow up with these parties to drive resolution and provide on-going feedback to individual(s) who raised the question or issue.
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written and training, along with excellent presentation skills.
Ability to work in a matrix environment
Works well with larger groups from a wider range of organizations, as well as reporting out to senior executives.
Work both independently and in conjunction with co-workers of all levels.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to create and further develop strong relationships with both business and IT leadership.
Some travel may be required (10%)
