Responsible for effectively and efficiently operationalizing Sunquest solutions This position will define the standards and processes for the cloud hosted infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS technologies.
Research new technologies and influence the technical roadmap with the aim of reducing total cost of ownership of Sunquest products
Develop & deploy standards and reference architectures for delivering Sunquest infrastructure
Define & implement security and performance standards developed for cloud environments across Sunquest hosted solutions
Leverage automation to simplify deployment of Sunquest solutions
Provide administration of cloud hosted solutions including but not limited to:
User administration and security.
Routine maintenance (involves periodic off hours/weekend work)
Scheduled backups and restorations; reviews back up logs.
External product and tool installation, validation and maintenance.
Qualify 3rd party products that comprise the platform used by the Sunquest solutions
Develop, review and implement configurations that will improve reliability and performance of internal and customer-facing systems
Serve as Tier 3 support on 3rd party applications related to infrastructure to both internal and external clients
Actively participate in program team meetings to ensure solutions can be effectively operationalized
Conduct benchmark tests, measure production system performance, analyze and make configuration recommendations based on data collected.
Define strategies and execute on initiatives to form a Cloud Center of Excellence
Maintain relationships with vendors (software and hardware) to identify the optimal product mix and minimize total cost of ownership of Sunquest solutions
Provide infrastructure related expertise to Sunquest sales and clients by designing optimal infrastructure
Participate in internal and external audits
Participate in development and deployment projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
5 years of experience with Cloud hosting solutions such as AWS, Google or Azure. AWS Certification preferred.
5 years of experience and expert level knowledge of the Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
Thorough understanding of cloud computing virtualization technologies, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Excellent business skills such as
Developing business cases for adoption of new technologies
Evaluating total cost of ownership of solutions
Comparing multiple options and providing recommendations for path forward.
Proven experience in the implementation of complex IT projects including deployment and administration.
Proven experience with external products and tools and their operation, application and administration.
Scripting ability in multiple languages
Understanding of development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
Ability to complete projects on time and within budget.

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, Business or other relevant combination of training and education.
Typically requires a minimum of eight years of related experience.

Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards; substantial time is spent working on a computer.
