Hiawatha Broadband Communications (HBC) is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Lake City, MN office. This position is an integral part of a dedicated and professional sales and service-oriented team. This team's goal is to provide consultative support which exceeds the customer's expectations. This position requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to provide a positive and memorable customer experience with a solution based approached. Being passionate about technology and committed to ongoing education in the areas of customer service and technology is required of a successful candidate.

Essential Job Functions:
The ability to drive residential sales by providing a consultative selling approach utilizing HBC's product lines
The ability to provide basic technical support in conjunction with a sales or retention interaction
The ability to respond to customer calls in order to achieve results in "customer saves" and increased customer loyalty
The ability to exercise negotiations skills in order to motivate customer to retain HBC services
The ability to provide creative solutions in order to upgrade customer's services while providing a quality customer experience
Must be an active participant in any team promotional events
Must have the desire to live the HBC Values by demonstrating an approach towards people and work that is consistent with the overall values of the company
Must be willing to utilize the latest marketing campaigns to educate and make recommendations to customers to best meet their needs
Must be comfortable using a proactive selling approach when dealing with potential disconnection or downgrades of service by using retention and upselling skills to retain the customer based on their needs
Accurate data entry on customer accounts is a must
The ability to build customer loyalty by resolving customer problems on the first call is critical to the success of this position
Previous experience a plus, but not required
Bilingual preferred, but not required
