Stevens Institute of Technology seeks an experienced, well-organized part-time STEM Education Researcher for an NSF-sponsored research project examining the influence of a multimedia production course on high school students’ interest, self-confidence and knowledge of science and engineering.

The Research Associate will work with the Lead Researcher to carry out the research activities associated with the project. The successful candidate will assist with design of teacher and student surveys and student design logs; coordinate site visits and data collection including tracking parental and student consent; conduct analysis of surveys, classroom visits, and student design logs; prepare data summaries and help with preparation of scholarly publications; other duties as assigned.

Desired knowledge and skills include MA in the learning sciences, statistics and research methodology, measurement and evaluation and/or engineering education or a closely related field.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of progressively responsible experience in K-12 research, experience working with diverse populations of students in urban school districts, education research and demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative methods. Strong oral and written skills required.
