Location: Hoboken, New Jersey
Co-advise the Fraternity and Sorority governing bodies including the Cultural Greek Council, Stevens Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, United Greek Committee, and Order of Omega which includes regularly coaching student leadership, attending Executive Board and General Body council meetings, and advising on event planning
Program planning for major events and initiatives including four New Member Education classes and an annual IMPACT session sponsored by the North-American Interfraternity Conference.
Assist with the coordination and development of campus-wide events, such as Pre-Orientation and Orientation, Freshman Family Weekend, and Freshmen Parents Weekend
Assist in the development and growth of departmental initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.
Collaborate with the Residence & Dining Services office on the management of both Stevens owned and privately owned chapter houses.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Enrolled as a Graduate Student in an accredited institution, preferably concentrating on higher education or student personnel administration.
Willingness to learn new skills and an interest in the field of student life.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preference given to candidates with prior student life and/or student leadership experience.
Meetings & Work Schedule
The GC is expected to meet regularly with the Assistant Director of Student Life to discuss assigned projects and address individual and departmental needs. The GC is expected to attend biweekly departmental staff meetings and any other meetings as assigned. The GC will work closely with other professional staff members in the Office of Undergraduate Student Life to execute ongoing events and projects.
