Prudential Financial is seeking a strategic Chief of Staff to support the President of Annuities and advise the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of its Annuities business. The successful candidate will participate in and advance a wide array of business initiatives, as well as, ensure the seamless functioning of the Executive Office and the senior leadership team. The candidate must be able to form relationships with senior executives proactively to work and operate in a fast-paced business environment. The successful candidate will report to the President of Annuities.
Location: Shelton, CT based role with remote work flexibility
Engaging in a wide range of activities key initiatives and projects of the President’s office to ensure excellent execution and outcomes in a proactive, seamless, effective and timely manner
Developing and coordinating the agenda, defining a calendar of events for the senior leadership team (SLT) in alignment with the Annuities strategic business priorities
Ensuring effective problem solving, collaboration and communication between SLT members and the President’s office, including follow up on key actions from SLT meetings
Ensure the appropriate connections and provide a strong link between the President's office and other departments within Annuities and across Prudential, and between the President and external parties, to ensure that information, meetings and engagements align with the business priorities
Acting as key interface and partner with Communications with regards to planning, supporting and coordinating internal and external communications; creating, supporting and/or coordinating the President's communications and responding, when needed, on behalf of the President's office including social media posts.
Serve as the Business Ethics Officer for Annuities, which includes participation in PADOC
Act as the Site Executive for Shelton, including LCMT, engagement with the BRGs/CEC
Champion inclusion and diversity efforts for the Annuities business, including regular reporting of impacts/outcomes of activity.
Participate in Risk Committee and Incident Management
Partner with Communications to ensure integration of Annuities business goals and objectives through Town halls, team summits and other communication forums
Influence a continuous improvement and execution excellence mindset aligned with company values
Enable the required collaboration and drive consistency for the annual financial, operations and strategy plan and forecast
Manage department budget and work with real estate to manage Annuity space needs
Collaborate with other Prudential Financial's Chiefs of Staff on enterprise initiatives and Annuities COSs on Annuities initiatives
Experience working in the Financial Services industry preferred; an understanding of Prudential businesses is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior executives across multiple business units and functions
Superior oral and written communications skills
Proven ability to proactively and successfully prioritize, adapt and execute in a fast-paced business environment
Strong business acumen, with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
