JOB DESCRIPTION
The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain consistent and efficient operation of plant
  • Continuously testing gradations and inspecting production equipment to assure optimum operating efficiencies and maximum production levels
  • Diagnose and assist in trouble-shooting when process is interrupted
  • Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed
  • Other duties as required
Work Environment
This job operates 100% of the time in a sand plant. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School degree
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Proficient in equipment, mechanic and operational logic
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
