Position Summary

Designs, develops and establishes complex data management documentation based on program requirements.  Coordinated the development, implementation and maintenance of configuration management systems.

 

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Designs, develops and establishes complex data management documentation based on program requirements.

  • May lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management systems.

  • Participates in design review, audits, schedules, etc

  • Utilizes product data management tools

  • Prepare contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules

  • Prepares detailed capital package submittals, tracking, and support

  • Provides high level support to the Product Data Manager and engineering technical staff

  • Independent preparation and submittal of contract data

  • Reviews contract data requirements and establish data schedules in accordance with requirements

  • Assist engineering technical staff in the decision progress required for configuration management

  • May prepare and present status of configuration plan and schedule in customer meetings

  • Participation in the development of plans and procedures regarding configuration management

  • Prepare cost estimates with supervision

  • Provide training to staff in the use of configuration management tools

  • Supports the analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect of the overall system; recommends methods of improvement

  • Participates in special assignments or projects

  • Acts as liaison between functional groups

  • May supervise work product or others less experienced employees

  • Provides support to the preparation of Technical Data Package delivery

  • Completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements

  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization

 

Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required)


  • 6+ years in engineering environment, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Highly developed understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages

  • Demonstrated proficiency regarding project management of large capital projects

  • Ability to work closely with engineers and technicians to understand technical requirements related to the specification and procurement of equipment and materials

  • Demonstrates the ability to review engineering technical data for completeness and correctness

  • General computer skills with developed familiarity with product data management tools

  • Detail oriented individual
