Genoa operates more than 450 pharmacies across 46 States and the District of Columbia, with plans to open an additional 50 to 60 pharmacies over the next year.

We are seeking a Director of Accounting and Reporting to lead the accounting function. This position is located at Genoa's corporate headquarters in Renton, WA.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the VP Controller, the Director of Accounting and Reporting will be responsible for the month-end close cycle, consolidated financial reporting, internal financial reporting, and technical accounting matters.

· Provide overall leadership to the Accounting team. Attract, recruit and develop talent that supports the overall growth of the business.
· Responsible for execution of core accounting cycles, including:
    • Revenue/Accounts Receivable
    • Cash Accounting
    • Inventory/COGS
    • Fixed Assets
    • Payroll Accounting
    • Lease Accounting
    • Intercompany Accounting
· Maintain internal financial statements (consolidated financial statements; site financial statements).
· Provide analytical support to the CFO and VP Controller regarding financial results and trends.
· Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
· Provide guidance, documentation and support related to technical accounting matters.
· Lead the implementation of new accounting policies.
· Create, evaluate and upgrade existing accounting policies.
· Lead accounting due diligence and integration of acquired businesses.
· Support and lead key initiatives of the Finance/Accounting organization, and collaborate on cross- functional initiatives for the Company using a service-oriented approach.
· Lead efforts to understand and implement new accounting standards.
· Drive accounting integration activities with OptumRx

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong background and skills in technical accounting/reporting and internal controls.
  • Big Four public accounting background strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive and current understanding of GAAP and SEC rules and demonstrated ability to apply such knowledge to practical situations.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions preferred, from both a due diligence and purchase accounting perspective.
  • Ability to establish relationships across the management team and organization and to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to effectively manage and leverage outside consultants and independent auditors.
  • Results-driven individual who does whatever it takes to succeed and loves a challenge.
  • Strong presentation skills and effective communicator capable of explaining concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization.
  • Hands on approach balanced with big picture understanding - can transition quickly from tactical to strategic
  • Strong team player, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage various work assignments in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Great Plains, PeopeSoft and Blackline a plus.
