What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage the contract administration processes and systems, including customer and vendor contracting

  • Lead contract management projects, including systems selection, integration and implementation

  • Find opportunities for integration and process improvement; drive continuous improvement processes

  • Partner with the Legal, IT, Finance, Sales and Operations teams to ensure the effectiveness of contract administration

  • Draft and negotiate legal agreements and contract changes

  • Provide ongoing analysis and reporting for contracts; execute changes

  • Manage the internal contracts team within the Legal department

  • Understand and interpret terms and conditions clauses that pertain to liability, indemnification, warranty and liquidated damages

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Law or related field, or any suitable combination of education, experience or training

  • 5 years of experience leading contract management processes and drafting/negotiating contracts

  • 2 years of management experience

  • Experience with contract management systems, including the implementation and management of a document repository and complete workflow tools

It’d be great if you also have:

  • IACCM certification

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with contract management and legal operations in a corporate environment

  • Demonstrated experience with word processing, presentation and database applications/programs, including Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience

  • Ability to manage systems selection and implementation with support from IT
