SUMMARY:

Responsible for attaining sales objectives for the market through the local field sales channel. Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve growth through the strategic management of field sales representatives. 

Candidate – Must be a successful sales leader with experience in Medicare Advantage

Work Location -  Alabama Region (AL, MS, No FL)

Local Travel (75%) – AL Market

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance

Valid Producer license to sell Medicare product

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop DTC Sales Representatives and New Business Development Representatives

  • Manage the development and execution of the market strategy to achieve sales goals through the field channel

  • Align local growth plan to Market objectives

  • Oversee the development of local market field sales execution of plan, motivates sales team 

  • Monitor and direct engagement and sales and lead generation activity in local field sales channel

  • Leverage analytics to support and evolve growth strategy

  • Determine territory assignments for field sales representatives

  • Establish sales and activity targets for a given territory

  • Maintain team compliance and ensure disciplinary actions are executed in a timely and precise manner

  • Ability to expand management over multiple products as appropriate

  • Provide support for closing sales, if escalated 

  • Engage in relationship management with clients (including providers, decision makers) in local markets 

  • Drive performance to improve self-generated lead volume and close ratio, supporting CPA and CPL

  • Responsible for performance of field sales representatives – ongoing training, coaching, professional development

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives/projects which may include events, sponsorship activation, grant-making and employee engagement activities to deliver the Cigna-HealthSpring brand

  • Manage allocated budget for sales events, sponsorship activities, and political functions 

  • Able to drive brand in the market place 

  • Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with CMS and Cigna-HealthSpring policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to work well/collaborate with internal and external matrix partners to drive growth outcomes supporting market objectives

  • Knowledge of providers, government agencies, community influencers
