Collaborates in creation and implementation of plans to reach goals and advance Clemson University's fundraising priorities. Plans, researches, writes, scripts and participates in the creative process for collateral marketing and communications materials for the annual fund and campaign proposals while providing support for all giving efforts within University development. Collaborates with colleagues to create detailed factual and persuasive messages for targeted audiences across multiple platforms. Performs other duties as assigned. This position will report to University Relations' Director of Writing and Editing Services. JOB DUTIES:
60% - Essential - COMMUNICATION & MARKETING: Collaborates with department writers, strategists and officers to produce communications and marketing materials that support fundraising that are highly targeted, well designed, appropriate and motivational to the target audience. Researches, interviews, writes and edits the creation of digital and printed materials in support of the fundraising efforts of University wide priorities including publications, proposals, profiles, online & social media messaging, scripts, presentations, events and other materials. Collaborates with team members to ensure projects are delivered correct, on time and meet brand guidelines and client goals.
30% - Essential - PROJECT COODINATION & MANAGEMENT: Maintains relationships and works with collaborative teams from University Relations and Development to plan and implement integrated marketing and communications programs that support fundraising. Monitors assigned projects through all phases of development to adhere to time and budget constraints. Document progress of assigned task in project management system.
10% - Essential - DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT: Adheres to departmental project management and quality control. Actively supports Development and University Relations team members, particularly on fundraising and marketing projects needs as they arise. Willingly participates in communication and marketing projects as assigned by supervisor or departmental director. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications or related field, and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience developing and disseminating print and digital content for a publishing, marketing/advertising or communications agency. RESPONSIBILITIES:
