The Director, Service Deployment provides leadership and management of a Customer facing Deployment Services team aligned to a Customer segment at the Diebold Nixdorf NA geographic area level.
This position is responsible for the overall budget; achieving financial goals; operations; capacity planning; client satisfaction; the successful implementation of Client Deployment Services engagements; and the success of his/her consulting business.
This leader develops and maintains strategic partnerships with Sales Directors, Customers, Vendors, and other Diebold Nixdorf NA business leaders and has direct accountability and responsibility for end-to-end ownership of the delivery and profitability of all Customer Deployment Services in his/her area.
This leader attracts, recruits, develops, and retains talent; is a thought leader with extensive proven deployment project management experience and deep knowledge of professional project management deployment services; creates a positive working environment where associates thrive, do their best work, and utilize their full potential; and partners and collaborates with peers and Executive management across the company to work through challenges, drive continuous improvement, and deliver end to end quality service for Diebold Nixdorf NA Customers.
This leader teams and collaborates with Sales Directors during presale to develop strategies for potential new Customer engagements, directs and approves project scope, including budget creation, pricing, human resource planning, scope, and timetable guidance.
Consistently deliver profitable service solution quality with PM discipline
Review to confirm team meets and complies with quality standards
Solution projects to ensure deployments are completed in a way that optimizes serviceability
Remove roadblocks and work with PMs, Project Sponsors, & other business leaders to - make adjustments to under-performing projects & drive continuous improvement
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
Make strategic connections of people and processes resulting in improved quality, cost savings, time efficiency, and successful business objective outcomes
Collaborate with Director of Sales to develop new Customer Engagements with winning deals planned and scoped for operational success
Participate in periodic communications (in person & over the phone) with Clients to ensure clear understanding of Customer needs, requirements, and satisfaction level over the course of projects
Direct project development including budget creation, human resource planning, operational solution design, pricing, scope & timetable guidance for custom engagements
Staff to provide new business presale support
Lead and grow major client accounts, win new business and provide inspiring thought leadership into the organization
Review & approve Statements of Work and cost/pricing models to ensure projects are scoped and delivered successfully with appropriate levels of gross margin and client satisfaction
Project profitability & financial governance
Accountable for profits/losses
Meet or exceed annual revenue & margin objectives
Coordinate with Executive Management, PMs, and other business leaders to review monthly financial and profitability reports, investigate projects that are under-performing, and work with key internal leaders to address any systemic issues or opportunities for improvement
Right staffing scoped and applied on the project based upon size, complexity, and skill set
Make sure projects & resources are properly scheduled
Pull in matrixed resources for project team staffing
Forward looking resource management & PM alignment based upon scope/schedule revenue & activity - governing allocation and moving resources in line with revenue streams

10 years of experience leading cross-functional project teams in a Customer facing consulting environment
Strong people manager who can keep a team on track, informed, productive, and aligned to achieve a shared goal
Proven industry pro with a demonstrated history of successfully leading and delivering large IT Deployment Services Programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality, and on benefit
Strong background in Project Management and in-depth knowledge of project management tools, best practices, and processes
Proven business management skills with a keen sense of business acumen -
