Edelman Public Relations is looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated project manager to assist the Development & Technology team in creating, managing and maintaining high-profile client web properties, email marketing programs and marketing technology applications. You will bring your technical skills to the intersection of communications marketing and new media in a dynamic, fast-paced agency environment.
Serve as the coordinating project manager on a variety of technical development projects, including website builds and updates, mobile app development, email marketing and marketing technology projects, and other technical projects in support of communications marketing campaigns – specific tasks include:
Assisting technical team leads in collecting client needs and developing recommended technical solutions
Drafting client contracts for technical projects
Creating project budgets and timelines, and monitoring adherence to these plans
Interfacing with vendors for specialized services such as graphic design, animation, web development, etc.
Configuring third-party accounts for web hosting, domain management, bug tracking, email marketing, etc.
Loading content into websites using content management system (CMS) admin interfaces
Creating email templates and campaigns in email marketing programs
Delivering email marketing campaigns and analyze metrics from campaign performance
Conducting quality assurance (QA) activities on technical projects, logging issues or bugs to be addressed by developers
Coordinating project status meetings and other touchpoints to ensure project success
Participating in post-project analysis to measure effectiveness of the project plan and budget
Perform technical maintenance activities, such as updating website content, renewing domain names, etc.
Partner with development & technology team leadership and account team staff to assist clients in researching and analyzing potential technology solutions
Serve as development & technology group representative on cross-functional teams assigned to client projects
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration, information technology or related fields
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to function under deadline pressure
Basic understanding of web development process (hosting, DNS, HTML, CSS)
Ability to work on multiple projects and determine appropriate priorities across projects
Strong Excel knowledge

Proficiency with project management principles

Experience in quality control of web properties
Experience managing web properties on Expression Engine, Wordpress and/or Drupal CMS platforms
Experience with design software, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
Coding a webpage in HTML and CSS without assistance of a WYSIWYG editor
Experience designing/building basic HTML e-mail templates and/or working with email marketing tools (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Campaign Monitor, etc.)
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) applications, especially Salesforce.com, or other relational database applications
