KSBY-TV, The Scripps NBC Station in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an aggressive Executive Producer to join our news management team. Our broadcast and digital news products are market leaders in ratings and views on California’s beautiful Central Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a producer looking to make a move into news management.
The Executive Producer has overall responsibility for newscasts and all digital content, including oversight on story selection, content, and production, ensuring that the station is competitive within the market.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication or related field preferred.
3-5 years journalism experience; 2 years previous new producing experience preferred.
Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws.
Ability to create tactics and strategies to increase demo performance in key target areas for multiple platforms.
Have working knowledge of federal, state and local laws impacting operations.
