What you ll do
Under supervision of a Quality Engineer, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for improving product and process quality through verification of thorough and accurate compliance to internal and customer requirements.. Core activities include verification of documents for accuracy and completeness, collection of data to reduce cost of poor quality and facilitating root cause analysis and problem resolution within manufacturing cells. The focus of this position will be Quality Assurance associated with the manufacture of F-35 transparencies.
Review all production documents for accuracy and completeness prior to customer submission
Collection of all test results, logs, data sheets and forms associated with the manufacture of the F-35 transparency
Verification of data entries, records, times, dates, stamps and logs
Ensure all personnel performing operations are trained and training records are current
Investigation of causes when measurements are found to deviate from requirements
Review production and laboratory operations to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Develop and foster strong internal relationships throughout the organization to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality issues
Promote a continuous improvement culture
Collect and analyze data to reduce cost of poor quality, identify quality trends, and enable improvement
Develop and update inspection process documentation, policies and procedures
U.S. citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Aerospace & Defense Quality systems experience including internal audit, corrective actions, calibration or Quality Management Systems (AS9100D, AS9102, CMM inspection, FAI, PRB/MRB) preferred
