Provide an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Teva EHS Management System (EHSMS) at the Parsippany headquarters location and associated US Sales Organization, in order to enable compliant operations.
Main Responsibilities & Deliverables
Lead EHS activities
Lead the implementation of applicable EHS regulatory and Teva compliance requirements.
Analyze, interpret and communicate EHS requirements.
Initiate plans for, and support Teva in the conduct of, internal environmental, health and safety reviews; identify gaps; make recommendations to Teva to close the gaps; and implement corrective and preventative action (CAPA) plans.
Facilitate routine area inspections and follow-up.
Ensure that all required internal and external reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner:Complete the OSHA 300A form for the Parsippany and US Sales operations
Enter all incidents in Teva s Global Environment, Health and Safety Information Management System (EHSIMS), including motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), for:Parsippany
Work with Teva Global Facilities Management (GFM) and US Sales Organization to complete investigations, determine OSHA recordability, and enter appropriate CAPAs for (b) above.
As needed, work with GFM and US Sales Organization to initiate Workers Compensation Claims for (b) above.
Complete all information requests from EHSIMS (Campaigns), for example: Workers Hours, Environmental Footprint, etc.
Inform GFM about EHS regulatory and applicable license and permit requirements, and prepare and review license and permit applications, renewals and deliverables.
Assess and mitigate EHS risks
Identify EHS risks and recommend proactive mitigations.
Work with GFM as needed on the development and implementation of emergency preparedness, response measures and procedures.
Manage the assessment process for office ergonomic assessments and make recommendations to GFM regarding appropriate corrective action and follow-up.
Monitor, Analyze and Share EHS Information
Provide necessary information and data to GFM, US Sales Organization and Regional EHS in order to support the achievement of EHS objectives.
Consistently measure and monitor the site s EHS key performance indicators.
Monitor the status and progress of actions related to EHS goals and targets.
Utilize Teva s EHSIMS to track data and facilitate continuous improvement follow up.
Maintain documentation for EHS, in accordance with internal and external requirements, including archiving as required.
Develop the necessary site-based documents to implement the EHSMS, while integrating relevant information into site operational documents as much as possible.Reports To:
Direct: JLL Facilities Manager
Bachelor s Degree engineering degree or related science-based degree (required pre requisite for the job). Advantage: Degree in safety/industrial hygiene/ergonomics/environment. Exceptions will be examined individually.
5+ years of progressive experience with site EHS programs.
Basic project management knowledge and experience.
Strong understanding of applicable local, state and federal regulations.
English Proficiency* - Business and EHS specific.
Professional certifications a must when required legally. Other professional certifications, i.e., CSP, CIH an advantage.
