Job Description

In a professional, multidisciplinary environment, under supervision and mentoring by an experienced staff professional, the Intern will gain a knowledge of a social work role in a health care quality improvement organization; intake and resolution of grievances, management of difficult patient behaviors, patient access to ESRD care, insight into different types of community stakeholder relationships, attitudes and beliefs; processes to build community focuses on improving health care quality and experience with best practices for root-cause analysis, data collection and process improvement.

Essential Functions:

* Provides assistance and support in the intake and resolution of grievances

* Help develop and spread best practices to improve patient experience of care and access toc care.

* Gain exposure to the implementation of quality improvement initiatives which may involve researching data, developing project plans, monitoring activities, providing education on improvement methods, and other related tasks

* Develops skills while gaining hands-on experience in a QIO environment.

* Understands and adheres to Comagine Health s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program and related policies and procedures.

* Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers.

* Performs related duties as required.

* Understands and effectively communicates Comagine Health s mission, vision and values to a variety of audiences, both external and internal.

* Updates contact information in Comagine Health s customer database as appropriate.

* Understands and adheres to Comagine Health s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program and related policies and procedures.

* Develops and maintains positive relationships and communicates professionally with internal and external customers.

* Participates in Comagine Health internal quality improvement activities as appropriate.

* Performs related duties as required and assigned.

* Ability to meet deadlines.

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Required Experience

* Pursuing a master s degree in Social Work.

* Minimum GPA of 3.0.
