The Quality Assurance (QA) Compliance Project Manager interacts directly with Lonza's internal and external customers on change management, projects, deviations, standalone investigations and Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPAs) and serves as the Lonza Subject Matter Expert and decision maker for all Compliance and TrackWise related quality issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement with Lonza quality systems and/or customer interactions

  • Leads the improvement project team in defining and implementing effective quality solutions

  • Project Management with independent decision making and problem-solving

  • Defines the strategies for the remediation of issues

  • Reviews investigation reports and root cause analysis for low, medium or high risk/minor, major and critical deviations to assure corrective and preventative actions will prevent recurrence

  • Mentors less experienced Quality Assurance Project Managers and/or members of the Compliance team and can act as a delegate for the department manager.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Significant background in Quality and Compliance, including deviations, project work and Corrective And Preventative Actions (CAPAs)

  • Project Management experience or experience leading a project

  • Strong experience from Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)/manufacturing environment or Quality Control (QC) Biologics

  • Experience with internal and/or external customers

  • Experience working with teams, including across cross functional teams

  • Self-motivated and driven
