Job Description Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Compliance Project Manager interacts directly with Lonza's internal and external customers on change management, projects, deviations, standalone investigations and CAPAs and serves as the Lonza Subject Matter Expert and decision maker for all Compliance and TrackWise related quality issues. This role is capable of reviewing investigation reports and root cause analysis for low, medium and high risk/minor, major and critical deviations to assure corrective and preventive actions will prevent recurrence.

The QA Compliance Project Manager also identifies opportunities for improvement with Lonza quality systems and/or customer interactions, leads the improvement project team in defining and implementing effective solutions. This is a Project Manager 3 role which requires little to no guidance on quality decision making or problem-solving and will define the strategy for the remediation of issues.  He/she mentors less experienced QA Project Managers and/or members of the Compliance team and can act as a delegate for the department manager.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Extensive background in Quality and Compliance, including deviations, project work and CAPAs

  • Project Management experience or experience leading a project

  • Strong experience from GMP/manufacturing environment or QC Biologics

  • Experience with internal and/or external customers

  • Experience working with teams, including across cross functional teams

  • Self-motivated and driven
